Week Four Update

Compliments of Ess:

Week two of the 6:30 experiment goes off without a hitch. All 5 bowlers were there on time. Really don't know what to blame it on. It wasn't too cold, there were no important sporting events, there were no poser hippies to scare people away - maybe people are getting scared of the mustache that we get to see every week. Barber missed this week, but we'll cut him some slack - Congrats to you and your wife on your new arrival. Tony was sick (sissy) and I have no idea where JC was. Friends like these!!!

On another note..... Only 5 bowlers allowed for some record timing on the lanes. Balls in the air by 6:35.... balls back in the bags by 8:00ish. With the night of bowling coming to a end so quickly the diehards that made it decided a trip to Grand Ave was in order. While there, they were treated to yet another drunk girl talking about her kids and they were also treated to some crackers and trivia. Yes Grand Ave has trivia and could become a weekly thing if numbers stay so low. I do think it took JJ about an our to get logged in to play.

Here are the numbers

Jason claims that he has not touched a bowling ball since the end of last season. There might be some shenanigans going on here because Jason and his new ball have had a hot hand this year so far. He busted out a impressive 577. Aside from that everyone else was pretty mediocre to lame with their bowling. Mikey did manage a 205 in game three.

Almost everyone was stealthy and quiet in the woods this week except one hunter. Ess was the only one to manage to miss all turkeys he saw. He must of forgot that you do not wear blaze orange when you go turkey hunting. Everyone else (all 4 others) managed to bag a turkey - Jason had two and JJ and Mikey bagged turkeys in the 10th frame of the third game.

Jason is the only one with perfect attendance. It's the mustache power!!

Ups

Jason +2
Jaime +2

Dips

JJ -14

Gutterballs weekly: Vol V. Issue 3

Well congratulations you are one of the select few that can call themselves Gutterball Insiders. This much trimmed down mailing list is for the dedicated faithful only. We have shed the dead weight of the unwashed, quitters. This league is for winners only. That or anyone who wants to come down to Willies and pay $8 on Thursday.

Week one of the new start time went well. 9 bowlers and only JJ had a hard time making it by 6:30 (but he made it). The league office has also made an executive decision. No longer are 9 bowlers going to be considered weak attendance. It has become painfully obvious that this is standard attendance this year.
It was a fun night so let’s look at the numbers shell we?

High Game:

• Dude: JC came out throwing rocks in game one setting the bar at 224. By the end of the night that mark would hold up as 11/11/10’s high game.
• Ladies: Fighting off a late challenge from Michelle who showed up for game three Jaime Morgan was able to go 2 for 2 in high game marks for the ladies with a 156 and her second turkey of the year! She would like some more competition so please tell your friends, a challenge has been issued.

Series Total:

• Dudes: Although he wasn’t able to match his game one score he did set a solid foundation to build upon. JC has to work on his endurance but overall his 224-180-170 = 547 was enough to put him on the big board!

• Ladies: Pretty tough to beat Jaime’s three games when Michelle only rolled one, so sorry this is less dramatic but nice rolling Jaime. Love the dedication.

Most Improved:

• Hey the good news is if you roll real shitty on one week it doesn’t take much to show the slightest improvement. this week Tony +2 from 138 to 140.

• But the big winner of the week goes to high game + high series, = MIB +3 JC 181/184

Biggest Dip Award:
• I have a feeling this sibling rivalry could make for great season 5 drama. Last week they were climbed the mountain neck and neck and this week they fell off together but who fell the furthest between Mikey and Jon-Jon? Mickey -16 (199/183) hurt but not as bad as JJ’s -17 (203-187)
Better luck next week guys.

Quote of the night:

Game three Jaime leaves a 7-5-10 split. JC Yells out "Looks like your boyfriends mouth!" noone know what the hell that meant, don't think JC did either.

Shot of the night:
Nothing to report on the lanes and pretty sure on Jon-Jon had ashot unable to report at this time the flavor. sorry

Attendance Award: (Perfect attendance 9)
Dudes:

• Jon Crain - 9
• Tony Matera- 9
* Matt Esselmann- 6 SUCKS he joined a Harbor Hills league. Guess he is too good for us.
• Mikey - 6
• JJ -6
* Brad -6
* Barber 6

Ladies:
• Jaime Morgan 6

Inside the Numbers
• 9- attendance

• Total Pitchers ? Failed to record, plus Karen not is a good mood this week

Gutterballs weekly: Vol V Issue 2

This is starting to turn into a sausage fest around here. What Wisconsin ladies don't like to get a good roll on anymore? This week Jamie was the only Special lady friend brave enough to come out to league night and put her skills up against the boys.

Before we look at the numbers 1 VERY impotent message: this week with daylight savings we are rolling back the start time to 6:30!

Balls in the air at 6:30 tomorrow night NOT 7:00pm

Let's see how they did and take a look at this week’s numbers:

High Game:

· Dude: EPIC game one battle between cousins. JJ and Mikey made sure the rest of the league stopped to take notice this week. Mikey finished game 1 with 7 straight strikes! But it wasn’t enough to hold off JJ who rolled an impressive 241! A new season 5 high game!

· Ladies: She might have been the only lady but Jaime came to compete! She rolled her first turkey of the season in game one on her way to a 174. Besting leaguers JC and Tony,

Series Total:
· Dudes: Another season high posted by JJ with a 609! He dipped off in game two with a 153 allowing Tony some side action recovery. This modest gain was relinquished in game 3 when JJ found his groove again posting a 215.

· Ladies: Jaime would like the league report to point out that she beat Tony in game one and was consistent enough to roll a 421 series, besting Tony’s 420.

Most Improved:
· Early in the season lots of peaks and valley are out there for the rollers. And for the new returnees this is based off last year’s average.
· Impressive B-Rad return with a +28 (136 to 164)
· But the high goes to JJ +33 (170 to 203)

Biggest Dip Award:
· As mentioned above when you start off is when your average is most volatile, and when you’re only other 3 games was record it is a pretty good bet that you might end up here. JC stumbles in week 2 dropping his average -16 pins.

Attendance Award: (Perfect attendance 6)
Dudes:
· Jon Crain - 6
· Matt Esselmann- 6
· Tony Matera- 6
· Mikey - 6

Ladies:
· Jaime Morgan 3

Inside the Numbers
· 8- WEAK attendance
· Total Pitchers 5 not much of a drinking crowd last Thursday
· 0 New members
